Block Parent Program

Block Parent is a program that offers assistance to people in the community who may be in trouble. Block Parent members place the distinctive "Block Parent" signage in their window when they are home and able to come to the door. People in the area know that help is available where the sign is displayed.

Anyone, not only children, can make use of a Block Parent when they are in need of assistance.

The Block Parent program ceased operating in St. Albert in 2006. Program members are asked to return their window signs to the police station. For more information phone the RCMP at 780-458-4903.

People soliciting donations for Block Parents in St. Albert do not represent a local program. Be aware - Neighbourhood Watch has received reports of people selling calendars in St. Albert for the Calgary Block Parents organization.
